WelcomeDavid Elmon Matthews was born February 8, 1855.
Martha Adline Holt was born July 19, 1866. On August 5, 1883 David and
Martha married. From 1884 to 1905 they had 12 children, most of whom
had children of their own, who then had children, and so forth. As a
result, as of 2006 there are more than 1,500 descendants of David and
Martha Matthews and their 12 children. That's why there is an annual
reunion of the Matthews family --- and you can find information about
them on the Reuninons page.  If anyone in the Matthews family, or any of the
families that descended from one of the members of this family, have
any additional information or photos you would like included in this
website, or any corrections that should be made, please make a post in
the site's forum that clearly identifies the person or persons you are
